Mustafa Bildircin CHP’s 23 July was marked by meetings held for the New Party, the establishment of which was officially announced.
The closed-door group meeting, held at 11.00 am in Parliament, lasted 15 minutes.
The meeting, which Özgür Özel did not attend, was chaired by CHP Deputy Group Leader Murat Emir.
During the meeting, the CHP’s Grand National Assembly Group Account was read out and put to a vote.
It was reported that nearly 80 MPs attended the meeting.
CHP sources stated that the New Party, which is to be established, was not one of the agenda items for the closed-door group meeting at 11.00.
Some MPs who attended the closed-door group meeting reported that a brief presentation was given regarding the work on the new party.
LAST CLOSED GROUP CHP Deputy Parliamentary Group Chair Murat Emir answered journalists' questions at the exit of the closed group meeting, which lasted 15 minutes.
Characterising the meeting as the "Last closed group meeting", Emir said, "Important decisions had to be taken, and we took those decisions unanimously." CRITICAL MEETING The critical meeting for the New Party, on the other hand, will be held today at 14:00. Özel will come together with MPs at 14:00 following the Friday prayer he will perform at the Hacı Bayram Veli Mosque.
Over 90 MPs, who are expected to be members of the board of founders of the New Party, will attend the meeting to be held at the Anadolu Club.
At the meeting, the administration of the New Party will also be determined.
Following the meeting, the party will be officially announced to the public.

The resignations of the MPs who began to resign from the CHP via e-Government at midnight on 24 July and will take part in the new party will be completed today.
PARTY ADMINISTRATION Following the submission of the New Party's petition of establishment to the Ministry of Interior, Özgür Özel will become the founding chairman.
The new party's board of founders, consisting of MPs, will first elect the chairman, and subsequently vote on the PM and the YDK.
The Chairman will then subsequently determine the MYK.
In the event that the naming rights for the New Party cannot be obtained, the name Change Party (Değişim Partisi) will be used.
Even if the New Party is established, the Change Party, which possesses the eligibility to enter elections, will also be kept at the ready.
